The Vaporfly 4, designed to take you to the next level, is now lighter. Compared to the previous version, we've reduced the overall weight without sacrificing performance. Additionally, the carbon fiber Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole combine to deliver race-ready speed. The result is a racing shoe you can rely on for both short distances and marathons.

At full speed

The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate features a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3, and combined with the lower drop, it gives you a propulsive feel ideal for race day.

Lighter foam

Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, is now even lighter. Positioned from heel to toe, it delivers greater energy return than ever before, thanks to a slight reduction in the midsole area for an ideal springy, lightweight feel.

Lighter upper

The engineered mesh reduces the shoe's weight, providing a more even fit. We've also further reduced weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.

Lighter midsole and outsole

The raised heel midsole is designed to reduce weight in the shoe, giving you more stability. We've lightened the outsole by using a thinner rubber than the Vaporfly 3.

What's new in the Vaporfly 4?

We've made many small changes to help you achieve great results. We've reduced non-essential weight in the midsole, outsole, and upper without sacrificing performance.
