    The paddle is the fundamental tool in the game but it is not the only one that needs a careful selection. Padel shoes, in terms of upper, midsole and sole construction, differ in some respects even from tennis or indoor shoes. They must ensure great grip on textured surfaces (new mats) or with sand (old mats). Manufacturers use innovative technologies in the rubbers and in the sole cuts specifically to ensure greater grip (consider rubbers like Michelin or Continental inserted in the soles).

    The midsole must be cushioned but not too soft and the upper breathable and flexible, so it can adapt to every movement of the foot without causing discomfort. Clothing, especially when playing under the sun, should be breathable and made of technical fabric, ideally with UV protection. Good sportswear allows the skin to breathe and only retains a part of our sweat. Exactly that part helps to regulate body temperature. 
    Although you might not need 3-4 paddles when you go to play, it will certainly be important to find a bag that can contain everything you need.

    Finally, many of you will have noticed how important and how much the game changes based on the ball chosen. There are balls that are more or less dense in felt and more or less heavy or fast. Choosing the right ball also depends on the field where you play and your own physical condition. If you are in shape and the field is fast, a fast ball will make the game much more dynamic and quick. We normally recommend fast balls on slow courts and vice versa.
